This Week’s New Books

If you’re wondering why I’m not having an IMM – read this post.

There are so many new “Look at my new books!” memes that I’m having troubles choosing. I know a few of the hosts personally and I don’t feel like picking teams on this one. So, I introduce my own conglomeration of all the memes out there! If you’re hosting a similar meme or if one of your friends hosts one, let me know and I’ll add their graphic (:

My package from Amazon finally arrived! That means three awesome new books to dig into. I hope I can find the time to actually read them, since in a little over a week my first midterms start. I’m so nervous! Maybe some JK Rowling or Sookie Stackhouse can help calm me down…

I know this won’t be like Harry Potter AT ALL. But JK Rowling is an amazing writer, and I just can’t resist reading her newest book. I’m hoping it will be a bit like Stephen King minus the supernatural in a Midsummer Murders setting. Has any of you read it yet?

It’s not that big a secret that I hope to be a writer some day. And whose advice would be better than Stephen King’s? I know a lot of writers point to this book for aspiring authors. Let’s hope I learn something from it 😀

Since I’m collecting all the Sookie Stackhouse books I thought I’d buy this short story collection as well. I’m not an anthology person, but I hope Sookie will make it easier for me to finish my first one (I’m awful at finishing anthologies)

So what do you have in your mailbox, on your shelf or to showcase? Leave a comment with your link so I can visit you back!
