The Sunday Post #20
The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba from The Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
This week has been a bit odd. Last Saturday I spent six hours at the hospital, because the doctor was afraid I might have something seriously wrong with my lungs. After hours of waiting and testing and drawing blood and being listened to, they concluded that no, nothing was seriously wrong. But they also didn’t know what exactly was going on. So good news, but I still couldn’t breathe properly.
Luckily my lung capacity has been improving, and the ache I felt in my chest has gone away largely. I guess I might just have had a small lung infection or something like that. Apart from all that, my week has been pretty good. We had a board game night this Thursday which was fun, and I ordered a bunch of books which will arrive next week 😀
This week on Nyx Book Reviews
- Review: Midwinterblood by Marcus Sedgwick
- How I Manage My Blog – Realising What and When to Post
- Review: Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson
Midwinterblood is a very strange but interesting book, that I quite enjoyed. This week has the first part in a short series of posts called “How I Manage My Blog” – I’m sharing the process behind my posting schedule and other blogging insights. Mistborn is the second review of the week; unlike most other people I know I didn’t enjoy the book all that much.
This week on Irresponsible Cactus
I signed up for the TBR Readathon, which will be held next weekend. I don’t have any real life plans for that weekend yet, so tons of reading sounds great!
Read this week
- Demonglass by Rachel Hawkins – 3.5☆
- Saga, Vol. 1 by Brian Vaughan – 4☆
- Saga, Vol. 2 by Brian Vaughan – 4☆
I’m in one of those phases again where I pick up tons of books, read a hundred pages in them, and then switch to a different book. So although I’ve actually been reading quite a lot page-wise, I don’t have any finished books to show for it. Demonglass is part of one of the series I’m hoping to finish soon. And I finally read the first two Saga graphic novels!
How was your week?
