2013 Challenges Wrap Up
2013 is closing to its end, and I think it’s time to look back and see how I did with this year’s challenges! I had to browse through quite some posts to find back the challenges I signed up for, and found almost none. Apparently I just never signed up for most of them. I still did sign up for three, one of which I completely forgot about!
Yup, competely forgot I pledged to read debuts this year. I’ve scoured my read shelf and found out I didn’t do *that* bad, considering I had no clue I was participating:
- Mila 2.0 by Debra Driza
- Dance of Shadows by Yelena Black
- Broken by A.E. Rought
- In the Shadow of Blackbirds by Cat Winters
- Belle Epoque by Elizabeth Ross
On the other hand I’ve been doing great at The Classics Club challenge! I’m trying to read fifty classics from my list in three years, and so far I’ve read:
- Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass by Lewis Carroll
- The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett
- The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde
- The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson
- The Trial by Franz Kafka
- Mansfield Park by Jane Austen
- Robinson Crusoe by Daniel Defoe
- Hamlet by Shakespeare
- The Prince by Niccolò Machiavelli
- Praise of Folly by Desiderius Erasmus
- Wuthering Heights by Emily Brontë
- Lancelot by Chrétien de Troyes
- The Lais by Marie de France
- Canzoniere by Francesco Petrarca
- Don Quixote by Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra
I’m really sad that I’m neglecting fantasy so much since I started blogging seriously. Most fantasy books just are too long and take too much time for me to fit them in a rather tight schedule of reading, blogging, studying and writing. Of my list of 101 books I’ve read:
- Nothing!
