This Week’s New Books & Updates – Crazy Christmas Version
Hi everyone, and welcome to the first mailbox post of 2014! It seems as if I might have gone a bit crazy on the new book front, as I have 29 new ones since the last This Week’s New Books. Uhh… yeah.
On the life front I’ve had a fun Christmas, and a great trip with my boyfriend to Dublin. I already posted a few pictures of it on Twitter, but if time allows it I’ll also do a full post about our adventures (: Since we came back on the 30th I’ve been studying my butt off for my exams, since the first two are on Monday, Statistics and Children’s Lit. Because of the three-week-exam-terror I’ve got going on this January, I won’t have nearly as many posts up as you might be used to from me. On the bright side, Vicky and me have been discussing hosting another Review Copy Cleanup in February! Once we iron out the details we’ll make sure to let you guys know.
Pile status: unknown
From now on I’ll be adding a new paragraph of Pile Status to my weekly updates in which I will talk about my continuing battle with my to be read pile. On the 21st of November I owned 195 unread books and my goal for 2014 will be to at least bring the pile down to 150. I’m also looking in to getting rid of some books I don’t want to keep to make some more space. A recount of my unread books is in order, which I will do before next week’s post.
This is what I accumulated, from gifts, books I bought in Dublin and review books. A few review books I left at my university room, so I’m using the cover pictures for those.
