The Sunday Post 04/10/15

Sunday PostThe Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba from The Caffeinated Book Reviewer.

Goodbye September, hello October! I’m already halfway through the first block at university, which means I’m already at 12,5% of the year. While I really like what we’re studying, the work pressure is absolutely crazy. I’m having a free week at the start of November, and I’m counting down the days. That week is going to be filled with sleep and reading and watching all of the TV shows and it’s going to be glorious.

Upcoming week is going to be a bad one – two assignments, an essay, and a presentation. I absolutely hate presentations, they’re so scary. Keep your fingers crossed for me that all goes well!

Julie is the author of the books The Whitstable Pearl Mystery and the newly released Murder-on-Sea, and I got the opportunity to ask her some questions as part of her blog tour. She had some great answers, so do check that post out. Secondly, I reviewed Spell Bound, the final book in the Hex Hall trilogy by Rachel Hawkins. I had some issues with it, but I did enjoy the final conclusion.

I’m feeling pretty good about the fact that I managed to finish a long fantasy book this week. Reign of Iron is the final book in the Age of Iron trilogy, and it is filled with epic battles and nerve-wrecking moments.

There was not a dull moment in there, and that really helped in holding my attention when I was reading it on public transport. I actually almost missed my stop because I was so engrossed in the story. It’s dangerous to read a good book on the train!
