Nyx Book Reviews turned 6 years old this month!

I was going to write this post, but when I finally opened the blank page to write something, I realized there are no words.
To say that the last six years have been a rollercoaster is an understatement. When I started writing on Nyx Book Reviews I was a 15-year-old who had just recently rediscovered her love for reading. Nyx Book Reviews grew as I grew, was always there in the back of my mind as I left home for college, as I moved from city to city. It’s my creative outlet, my passion, my playground and thoroughly, irrevocably mine.
But Nyx Book Reviews was never just my brainchild – it’s also a place where I met some absolutely fantastic people. Everyone who has ever left a comment in that white box, thank you. You are amazing. You made Nyx Book Reviews into something better than I could have ever done on my own.
Sometimes blogging is great, when words flow and the discussions are passionate. Sometimes blogging sucks, words stagnate, the fervour is gone and deadlines pile up. In six years I’ve seen the best and worst the blogging community has had to offer; author breakdowns, plagiarism, hissy fits, but also wonderful friendships, events, and collaborations.
Ultimately, I just want to say thank you to every reader, young and old. Nyx Book Reviews wouldn’t have been the same without you. Here’s to many more years!
